The Chariot is a sculpture by the swiss master, Giacometti. Giacometti is coming from an artistic background. He got interested in art at a very early age. He is well-known for his signature style. His sculptures are very similar. The human bodies are like rods. It was made in 1950. The Chariot is painted bronze on a wood base. It depicts an ancient Egyptian chariot with a thin woman. According to Giacometti, it was inspired by a “sparkling pharmacy cart” which he saw once. Right now the Chariot is in private hands. Its value is estimated around 100 million dollars.
