6. Gary Ridgway
The young lad in this photo, with the half-shy smile is none other Gary Leon Ridgway, who is also known as the Green River Killer. Although he was convicted of killing 49 victims, he actually confessed to killing almost twice that number. Ridgway is the most prolific American serial killer in history, in terms of confirmed murders. He killed his victims – women and girls – in Washington State during the 1980s and 1990s. After strangling the women, he would then dump their bodies in King County. He now serves a sentence of life imprisonment without parole.
