Written, co-edited, produced and directed by James Cameron who has directed some of the highest-grossing films of all time (including Titanic), it was lauded for its incredible (some said groundbreaking) visual effects. It surpassed the record of Titanic and became the first movie to gross more than $2 billion. Three sequels are planned for 2017, 2018, and 2019.
