The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian is an epic fantasy movie based on a novel by C.S. Lewis. Made in 2008, it was at that time one of the movies that claimed the largest budget to produce – ever. Co-produced by Disney, it was shot mostly in central Europe to keep down costs. Ultimately, the movie was only considered to be “moderately” successful, bringing in box office totals of $141 million for the US and Canada, and $278 in the rest of the world. Still that’s a profit! A previous Chronicles of Narnia movie, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe cost $180 million to make in 2005.
