The Tibetan Mastiff is an ancient type of large Tibetan dog breeds. It is originating with the nomadic cultures of China, Tibet and Nepal. In this region, the Tibetan Mastiff is used for protecting sheep from leopards. It is also known as Dok-Khyi, which means “nomad dog”. They were also used for guarding a house, or guarding a village. They were allowed to run loose at night. The height of a Tibetan Mastiff can reach 83 cm, and their weight is around 70 kg. They are very large dogs. Because of its size, it is capable of confronting wolves or leopards. When they spot a wolf, they are barking to warn them away. The Tibetan Mastiff is an intelligent dog, and they’re excellent for families, but they aren’t recommended for novice dog owners. Their price is around 7.000 dollars.
