The second highest paid golfer in 2014, Phil Mickelson, like Rafael Nadal, owes most of his income to endorsements. These totaled $48 million of his total pay package of $53.2 million. Born in San Diego, California in 1970, Mickelson has won five major championships including three Masters. The only major tournament he hasn’t won is the US Open. Nicknamed Lefty because of his left-handed golf swing (in spite of being right-handed), he was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in May 2012. He is married and has three children.
